Seminar "Elemental Disasters and Teaching of Geography" that realizes Geographical Institute "Jovan Cvijic", SASA, was held on 28 and 29 May

in Smederevo. Successful implementation of the 22nd seminar was held in the Regional Centre for Professional Development of Educators of

Smederevo. The second day of the seminar was opened by Mr. Kazuaki Kameda, attaché of the Embassy of Japan and the Deputy Chief of Mission,

who was a guest at the seminar at the invitation of the RC Smederevo. On that occasion, in fluent Serbian language he spoke about

the earthquake and tsunami wave that hit the north-eastern part of Japan on the 11th of March 2011, as well as the consequences of that

happening. Mr. Predrag Umicevic, the Mayor of Smederevo, addressed the participants of the seminar.
