On 03.16.2017. Prof. Darko Vukovic participated as a keynote speaker at the international workshop "Regional Competitiveness", organized by the Institute of Economics of the Russian Academy of Sciences in Yekaterinburg. The event was organized in memory of Academician Alexander Ivanovich Tatarkinа and оn that occasion Prof. Vuković received Letter of Appreciation from Institute of Economics of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Representative of Serbia and the director of the Geographical Institute 'Jovan Cvijic' SASA, Milan Radovanovic, PhD, participated in the First VarSITI General Symposium (2016), held on June 6-10, 2016, in Albena (Bulgaria). He presented a scientific article entitled: Application of the ANFIS Models and Parallel Calculations for Establishing Potential Causal Link Sun-Hurricanes.

Geographical Institute “Jovan Cvijić” SASA participated at the First International Workshop “Danube Future”, which was held in Klagenfurt, Austria. The organizer of the event is the Alpine-Adriatic University of Klagenfurt (Alpen-Adria-Universität Klagenfurt) and CEI (Central European Initiative).
