It is our pleasure to inform you that Serbia entered the International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics. An application for admission of Serbia to IUGG as an Associate Member was received from the Geographical Institute "Jovan Cvijic" of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts. It is our honour to inform you that Prof. Dr Slobodan Marković, bacame the corresponding member of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts. On 7th of November 2015, prof Markovic was promoted into the corresponding member of SASA, becoming with 45 years of age, the younges academician and at the moment the only living member of the Academy engaged in the field of Geography.
