In the course of the year 2015, the following promotions were held:

participated at the “Researchers' Night”, which was held in Delta City, Belgrade, Serbia.

Interactive setting „Кружи, кружи и заокружи“, was made thanks to the technical support of “BCS Professional” Ltd., and researchers Jasna Stojanović, Stefan Denda, Gorica Stanojević, Aleksandra Spalević, Vlasta Kokotović and Jelena Calić, in the atrium of Delta City, talked with children about the water cycle in nature.

Geographical Institute “Jovan Cvijic” SASA

participated at the VI Eurasian Economic Youth Forum, which was organized by Ural State Economic University in Yekaterinburg, Russian Federation. Dr Darko Vukovic participated as an expert in several sessions and held several lectures for students of Ural State University of Economics (USUE) and Ural State Forest Engineering University (USFEU).

Geographical Institute “Jovan Cvijić” SASA

participated at the First International Workshop “Danube Future”, which was held in Klagenfurt, Austria. The organizer of the event is the Alpine-Adriatic University of Klagenfurt (Alpen-Adria-Universität Klagenfurt) and CEI (Central European Initiative).

The presentation of proposals for Horizon2020 and active participation in this workshop in terms of the scientific contribution of the Danube region have taken Ana Petrović, Ph.D., and Aleksandra Terzić, Ph.D.

VIII Meeting of Event Organizers

International Conference “150th Anniversary of Jovan Cvijić's Birth”, October, 12-14th, 2015, Belgrade, Serbia.

Third announcement

In the year 2015, we celebrate the 150th birth anniversary of renowned Serbian geographer Jovan Cvijić (1865–1927).

To celebrate this significant anniversary, the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Geographical Institute “Jovan Cvijic” SASA and Belgrade City Museum organized the International Conference aimed at commemorating Cvijić’s scientific work and social engagement.
